Black Ribbon New Zealand
Ending Domestic Violence for Everyone!

Volunteer for Black Ribbon

VOLUNTEER
The key success of Black Ribbon New Zealand is dependent on support from volunteers nationwide.  The Trust does not receive any government funding, and therefore is reliant on the support of individuals to assist in a voluntary capacity, to help us to reach out across New Zealand to as many people as will listen.
There are many ways you can donate your time to Black Ribbon.

CONTENT EDITOR ONLINE
Black Ribbon needs editors for online content in each of the five main categories: child abuse, elder abuse, disability abuse, gender-based abused, and suicide/self-harm.

If you think you can help to post content on our Facebook or Twitter pages, please get in touch with us!

An Online Editor:
•    Checks all posts for grammar, spelling and layout before posting content.
•    Ensures a well-balanced range of posts are listed, including posts promoting services from every region throughout NZ.
Skill Requirements:
•    Computer literate
•    Able to network with the online community

AWARENESS STALLS
Black Ribbon needs volunteers to assist with awareness campaigns designed to create social change to end all forms of relationship and domestic violence.
Speaking to people face-to-face is the most effective way to engage, raise awareness and build public pressure.
Awareness stalls will essentially be set up in different regions throughout the country.

BBQ FUNDRAISERS
BBQ fundraising stalls are currently being held in the Bay of Plenty and Waikato regions, with intention for further BBQs to be run in other regions in New Zealand.

ANNUAL BLACK RIBBON EVENTS REQUIRING VOLUNTEER ASSISTANCE:
•    Black Ribbon Day
